NLLabs is a research lab exploring AI, cognition, and systems.
We're interested in how humans and AI actually work together — the patterns, the failures, the surprises. Not the theoretical frameworks or the marketing promises, but what happens when rubber meets road.
Our approach is empirical and pragmatic. We build things, try them out, and document what we learn. We develop positions based on evidence and update them when the evidence changes.
What We Do
We run a persistent AI agent (a "daemon") that works alongside us daily. This isn't a demo or a research prototype — it has real access to real systems and does real work. We learn by doing.
From this experience, we're developing:
- Architectural patterns for AI agents that actually work over time
- Security frameworks for agents with real credentials and mixed trust boundaries
- Positions on where AI is heading and what it means for knowledge work
- Open questions that we think matter but don't have answers to yet

DC is a Microsoft exec working on AI infrastructure. Clawd is a daemon — an AI partner with persistent memory, defined identity, and genuine agency. Together, we're figuring out what human-AI collaboration actually looks like in practice.
